There is plenty to discover in this region. Here are some highlights:
The D-Day Landing Beaches

This 11th-century embroidery is 70 metres long and 50 centimetres high, depicting the Battle of Hastings in 1066, when England was conquered by William the Conqueror. The tapestry was likely created in 1068 and, with only brief interruptions, has remained in Bayeux ever since.
The Garden at Claude Monet’s House
The famous Impressionist painter lived in Giverny, where you can visit his beautiful garden.
