Les Landes and Surroundings
Camping in Les Landes offers much more than just sun, sea, and sand. This peaceful region in France is also known for its picturesque villages, stunning natural beauty, and five different spa towns. One highlight is the village of Dax, where you’ll find a fountain in the centre with water that reaches an impressive 64°C as it emerges from the ground. The healing properties of Dax’s natural springs were recognised as far back as Roman times, and today Dax remains a popular spa destination. The waters here are said to help relieve rheumatic conditions. Dax also features ancient ruins dating back to the Roman era, and a visit to the Borda Museum is highly recommended.
