The Greek island of Zakynthos is part of the Ionian Islands and is located west of mainland Greece, roughly at the same latitude as Sicily. The island’s capital, also called Zakynthos or Zante, can be found on the southeast coast. Zakynthos enjoys a Mediterranean climate, making it a popular holiday destination.
